The City's first world War Heroes
From 1914 to 1918 World War 1 claimed millions of lives of those from around the world and the City of London was not spared either. Join us on this walk to commemorate those who fought during the conflict and to celebrate some of their achievements.
We start our walk from Liverpool Street Station, where you'll hear about how the railways played a significant role in getting troops to and from the front line. We then walk and hear about how the City's major financial institutions raised men to fight in Pal's Batallions.
We continue through the City and hear about the Artists who fought and see the memorials that have been erected to them.
