Your Guide: Jack Yeomanson
Hi, I'm Jack and I'm the man who'll be showing you around London when you come on one of my walks. Since I was young, I've always wanted to be a tour guide and to really indulge the passion I have for history and London. Why Blue Umbrella though? Well, sometimes you need something identifiable to make you easy to find at a meeting point, and it does often rain in London, so it's quite helpful to have an umbrella with you!
I qualified as a Clerkenwell & Islington Guide in 2012, before then becoming a City of London Guide in 2013 and finally a City of Westminster Guide in 2015 meaning I can show you around three of the major areas of London and tell you all of the amazing stories that these places have to offer.
I think that one of the best things about London is that you can stop on pretty much any street and find something to talk about or see, but it takes time to drag yourself away from looking at the beaten track and either look up or down to see where the real history of London is.
My mission in life is to share my passion for touring and travel with others. As a professional guide, I can add so much to your travels. I believe in really experiencing the places you visit and seeing much more than the usual recommended sites. If we sound like a good match, please get in touch with me.
I am a Freeman of the City of London (and yes, I have driven my sheep over London Bridge), a member of the Guild of Freemen of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Educators, the 109th Livery Company in the City of London. I am also the programme organiser for the City of London Guide Lecturers Association.
By coming on one of my walks I genuinely believe that you can find someone who cares about London and wants you to enjoy your time in the City.
